State Board of Nursing Home Administrators
IMPORTANT PROCESSING NOTICE
As the board staff enters their busy season, we remind you that we experience a significant increase in the volume of applications, renewals, phone calls, and emails we receive, which causes delays in our processing and response times.
Please note that our processing times increase to approximately four (4) to six (6) weeks from the date a complete application has been received in our office during our busy season. If you have not heard from the Board Office within six (6) weeks of submitting your application, please do not hesitate to contact our office regarding the status of an application. Prior to six (6) weeks after submitting an application, it will not have been processed. It is extremely critical that applicants carefully review the application instructions and submit a complete packet; otherwise, the processing times mentioned above may increase.
Lastly, when contacting our office, please only leave one voicemail or send us one email. Multiple calls or emails will further delay response time and processing. Your questions are important to us, and we will do our best to respond as soon as possible.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time!
Applications & Miscellaneous Forms
Application Processing:
Once your file is received, you will receive an email from the Board Office confirming receipt and providing you a summary of any outstanding materials. As Board Staff supports this and several other licensing boards, this may take 3-7 days, depending on the volume of mail received.
Once your file is determined to be complete, Board Staff will email your file to an Application Review Committee for consideration. Review generally takes 1-3 weeks. Following approval, you will receive an email notice of approval and your license materials will be mailed to the preferred mailing address you provide on the application form.
NEW: Pursuant to 2022 Legislation and the emergency rules signed effective July 20, 2022, the Board is now authorized to require fingerprint background checks for all new applications for licensure.
